Pastor Guy was a wonderful man of God. He always had a smile and a story to brighten your day. He was always willing to step in and do what he could. When we talked he would have a biblical spin to put on the conversation that left me with more knowledge of the Lord we serve. He will be greatly missed. I pray that his family is surrounded by the love that only God can provide.

Rev. Guy Johnson as the angles welcome you to heaven, know that the greater Christian community is better for having had you in it. Before you had your own church you served us well at Randall UMC, N.E. Washington, DC. Your family was part of our family and we pray that God will surround them comfort them at this difficult time. We love you and believe that you although you have gone on to your reward, we here on earth will not soon forget your contribution to our Christian community.

Words are hard to write at this time. Thanks Rev. Johnson for the baptism and kind words you provided to Cheryl Peters and Cedrick Moorning over the years you served at Goshen United Methodist Church. You will be truly missed but you are in a better place (heaven). Rest in peace!

Reverend Johnson, I want to thank you from my heart for the lessons you taught and the lessons learned. You were the introduction and cornerstone to my Christian faith. You set the standard to live by. You were instrumental to the building of my faith. As a child, you made me very interested to learn more about Jesus. I remember you giving me the opportunity at the age of 12 to sit beside you at many morning services and read

Rev. Johnson and I sat outside the chapel at Camp Hashawa one Sunday morning in August of 1990 and we talked. He shared his confidence in my gifts and said I had the potential to serve as a pastor of a church. I was shocked and wanted to dismiss the thought altogether because I could not see the possibility. Later at our closing worship, I assisted him by holding the chalice in our Holy Communion service. God spoke to me
